JCB Photography and some of the grid for the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship was at Croft Circuit on Wednesday 10th April for the second of three offical TOCA test days. Brands Hatch (using the Indy circuit), was the first of these offical test days which had taken place on 3rd April and the final test will be at Donington Park on 16th April.
The 2024 competitive
season will kick off on 27th and 28th April at Donington
Park Circuit using the National circuit for Rounds 1, 2 and 3.
The BTCC will return
to Croft on 27th and 28th July for Rounds 16,
17 and 18 with the season rounded off at Brands Hatch (using the
Grand Prix circuit) for Round 28, 29 and 30.
Under overcast
conditions, the teams testing got under way, with a cold wind, the
track was just about dry but during the morning session we had
several showers and those showers turned heavier during the lunch
break.
With two or three
red flags or in this case red lights during the morning test session
that JCB Photography was at Croft Circuit for.
EXCELR8 Motorsport’s
Ronan Pearson set the overall pace during the relative dry morning
session. With wet conditions in the afternoon sesson. 2023 BTCC
Champion Ash Sutton topped his team mate Daniel Rowbottom both
driving the 2023 Team Championship Team Championship winning NAPA
Racing UK Ford Focus ST's.
